Business Proposal

This drama is about Shin Ha-ri, a regular office worker who goes on a blind date pretending to be her rich best friend, only to find out the guy she’s meeting is Kang Tae-moo, the CEO of her company. Tae-moo, tired of blind dates, decides to make her his fake girlfriend to get his family off his back. Things get chaotic as Ha-ri tries to keep her real identity a secret while juggling her feelings for Tae-moo.

My opinion:

I´m going to be honest. I didn´t really like this K-Drama the first time I watched it. I thought it was okay but definitely overrated. In April 2024, I decided to give it another try because I was bored at my internship place and I liked it a lot. The scenes where the main character had to switch from Ha-ri to the fake Young-seo were so funny. Their chemistry went slowly and perfect. This drama also showed Tae-moo's trauma and how he recovers from it. My favorite scene of them is when they went to an amusement park together and he said 'just spend your time on me, 'll spend the money', lowkey cheesy but he wasn't like showing off.

I'm a second lead bias person. I tend to like the 2nd leads more than the 1st leads in K-Dramas. And with this drama it was the same. Did they have the same amount of chemistry? No, but I still liked them more. They just looked perfect together. Literally perfect. The scenes they had were so funny to watch and they also added a real life problem (episode 6) to the drama and I thought that was a very good choice they made. I do think it was a bit unnecessary to make Cha Sung-hoon the nonchalant type of guy when he liked her at first sight, but I mean that's what makes it a serie.

I am gonna say tho, this drama is the most unrealistic one to exist out there, but it's okay.

Do I recommend?

Yes, it´s a funny romcom.
