Squid Game Season 2

No spoilers!!

My opinion:
To be honest, when I saw that it only had 7 episodes, I was incredibly disappointed. Overall, the season was okay. I did think that the first 2 episodes were too long and they should've started the games at episode 2. I did like the casting of this season a lot though. I thought it was gonna give wannabe vibes but I liked this cast more than season one's cast. My favorite character was probably the ahjumma, number 149. She cared about everyone and I also liked how she and her son developed their bond during the games. Her son, player 007 really changed after ''that game'' As he should.

Now let's talk about the characters that were also in the first season. Let me start by Hwang Jun-ho. They did him so dirty this season. They could've given him more screen time and not just him searching for the island where the games took place. I do think that they will give him more and more useful screentime in the 3rd season. Next up is Seong Gi-hun, aka player 456. Seeing him this season was so sad. He changed a lot. I mean, of course, everybody would if they were him. I did like how they didn't just focus on him and his main group but also on other people's friendship. He was giving lead but not too much. And lastly, the Front man. I'm gonna try to not give any spoilers but I was SHOCKED by the ending of episode 3. That's all I will say about him.

This may sound a bit problematic, but I think that this season had too many main characters. I feel like, because the writers knew that this season would be very popular, they also added popular actors and actresses. But it was too much and I don't think they were all needed.

Do I recommend this drama?

Overall, yes, of course.
